Williamson, Oliver (September 27, 1932 -)[edit]

An American economist currently serving as Professor at the University of California, Berkeley. Williamson is most known for his work in transaction cost economics, and was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 2009. He studied at the MIT Sloan School of Management, Stanford University and the Carnegie Mellon University. Willamson has previously lectured at the University of Pennsylvania, Yale University, and the Haas School of Business.
