Uroš Brežan

Uroš Brežan (born April 12, 1972) is a member of the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia.

Political career[edit]

In 20012, he was first elected to the National Council, as the representative of local interests.

As mayor, he performs the function of a member of the Presidency of the Community of Municipalities of Slovenia, member of the Supervisory Board of the Cross-border Cooperation Programme Italy - Slovenia 2007 - 2013 (as representative of the Association of Municipalities of Slovenia).

He is active also outside his work environment; he worked for student organizations, he was the President of the Council of the Institute of Sport in Municipality of Tolminin the years 2002 -2006, a member of the Council of the Posočje Regional Development Centrein the years 2002 - 2006 and the Vice President of Youth Party of Slovenia from 2004 till the beginning of the year 2014(Slovenian: Stranka mladih Slovenije).

Education[edit]

Brežan graduated in Economics from the University of Ljubljana in 2001.
