Ulrike Hiller

Ulrike Hiller was born on the 11th of June 1965 in Sarstedt. She has been a member of the German Federal Council for the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) since 2012. Besides this, she is the State Councillor for Federal and European Affairs and Integration of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen and she represents Bremen for the Federal State and Europe.

Political career[edit]

From 1995 she was a municipal equality officer in the municipality of Ottersberg. She is also an independent mediator and moderator. As of 2006 she is the local association chairman of the SPD-local association in Altstadt. Between 2007 and 2012 she was a member of the Bremen Parliament.

Education[edit]

Between 1982 and 1986 she trained to be a teacher. From 1987 to 1992 she studied social education at the University of Bremen and between 1995 and 2003 she studied law at the University of Bremen. Moreover, between 1998 and 1999, she did mediator training.
