Timothy John Leigh Bell, Baron Bell was born on 18 October 1941. He is a Life Peer since 1998.


Political career[edit]

He worked in various advertising/PR firms before founding and becoming Managing Director of Saatchi and Saatchi in 1970, later serving as Chairman and Managing Director of Saatchi and Saatchi Compton from 1975. He advised Margaret Thatcher in her three successful general election campaigns. Bell was knighted in 1990 after being nominated by Margaret Thatcher and made a Life Peer after nomination by Tony Blair as Baron Bell of Belgravia in 1998. He was the director of Chime Communications plc until 2012.


Education[edit]

He studied at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Barnet.
