Robert Habeck

Robert Habeck was born on the 2nd of September 1969 in Lübeck. He is a member of the German Federal Council for the Alliance '90/The Greens since 2012. He is also the first Deputy Prime Minister of Schleswig-Holstein and the Minister for Energy Transition, Agriculture, Environment and Rural Areas of Schleswig-Holstein.

Political career[edit]

He has worked as a freelance writer since 1998. Between 2002 and 2004 he was the District Spokesman of Schleswig-Flensburg. Between 2007 and 2009 he was the State Chairman of Alliance 90 / The Greens.

Education[edit]

Habeck graduated from German secondary school in 1989 with the Abitur (A-Level). Between 1991 and 1996 he studied philosophy, philology and German in Freiburg im Breisgau, Roskilde (Denmark) and Hamburg. He received his doctorate in 1999.
