Gandalovič is a Czech politician and has served as Ambassador of Czech Republic in the USA since 2011. In 1991, he was a founding member of the ODS. From 1992 to 1994, he served as Deputy Minister of the Environment. From 1994 to 1997, he was Senior Director and Advisor to the Minister for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 1997 to 2002, he was General Consul of the Czech Republic in New York.
