Nesrin Cavadzade is an Azerbaijani Actress who was born in Baku.

Biography[edit]

As a director, her short films have screened at numerous national and international festivals, including the Berlinale Talent Campus, and won several awards. She later took a break from her behind-the-camera work to focus entirely on acting.

In 2012 Cavadzade won two awards for best actress; for her roles in ‘In Flames’, directed by Yangin Var and ‘To Better Days’ directed by Güzel Günler Göreceğiz.

Education[edit]

She completed her primary school education at a Russian school in Baku and moved to Istanbul with her family at the age of 11. After graduating from Istanbul’s Şişli Terakki High School, she entered Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts to study film and television. Parallel with her behind the-camera studies at university, she trained as an actress at the Şahika Tekand Studio. She graduated from university in 2005.
