Mihail Raykov Mikov, Bulgarian politician who has been Chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) since 2014, is born in 16 June 1960 in northwest town of Kula.

Professioanl Experience and Political Career

He has been a parliament member to since 1997. He was MP in the 38th, 39th, 40th and 41st National Assembly nominated by the northwestern district of Vidin. He has also been Chairman of the National Assembly of Bulgaria since 21 May 2013, and Minister of Interior in Sergei Stanishev's from 24 April 2008 to 29 July 2009 government. Mikov was elected as Chairman of the BSP (Bulgarian Socialist Party) on 27 July 2014.

Education

Mikov holds an MA in Law from the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. He is senior teaching assistant in Criminal Law at the same university.

Notable Works

Mikov obtained specializations in human rights, tax law, and anti-corruption practices from universities in France, US and Italy.
