Mary White

Mary White (November 24, 1948) is an Irish politician and businesswoman.

Political Career[edit]

She was elected to the Irish Senate in 2002 for the Fianna Fáil party, and then re-elected in 2007 and in 2011. She is the Fianna Fáil spokesperson on Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation in Seanad Éireann.

Education[edit]

She has got a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Politics from UCD and a Higher Diploma in Architectural Technology from the Dublin Institute of Technology.

Mary White is known for her commitment to advancing the peace process in the North of Ireland, having meetings with ex-prisoners of both sides. She has campaigned on issues such as childcare provision, discrimination against our ageing fellow citizens, suicide prevention and women in enterprise.
