Marko Pogačnik

Marko Pogačnik (born January 30, 1972) is a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia and a member of the Slovenian Democratic Party (Slovenian: Slovenska demokratska stranka, also known by the acronym SDS).

Political Career[edit]

He was first elected to the National Assembly in 2011 and he is currently serving his second mandate.

Professional Career[edit]

In the years 1995-199, he was a Customer Service Adviser in the Metro GmbH Graz, later he was a Head of Slovenian and Croatian region at Metro S.p.A Udine. From 2000 till 2005 he held the position of the Director of Retail Sales at Jelovica d.d., later on he was the Director of the Slovene Compensation Fund. In the years 2009-2011, he worked as a Special Delegate of the Board Representative of the Sava Reinsurance Company, Ljubljana.

Education[edit]

Pogačnik graduated in 1996 and obtained MA in in organisational sciences at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Kranj.
