Marinka Levičar

Marinka Levičar (born July 5, 1951) is a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia and a member of the The Democratic Party of Pensioners of Slovenia (Slovenian: Demokratična stranka upokojencev Slovenije, also known by the acronym DeSUS).

Political Career[edit]

She was first elected to the Slovenian National Assembly in 2014.

Professional Career[edit]

In the years 1973-1978, Marinka Levičar performed the function of a clerk for the insurance implementation at the Zavod za pokojninsko in invalidsko zavarovanje (Institute for Pension and Disability Insurance).

From 1978 till 2001 she continued working at the Zavod za pokojninsko in invalidsko zavarovanje but also became a journalist and the editor of the magazine Vzajemnost. The last function she performed till 2014 and in addition she worked as the Director of the Institute of publishing activities Vzajemnost.

Education[edit]

Marinka Levičar graduated in Sociology at the Faculty of Sociology, Political Science and Journalism at University of Ljubljana.
