Marie-Luise Dött is a German politician and a member of the Christian Democratic Union (Germany).

Political Career[edit]

Dött became a member of the CDU in 1984. She was Member of the State Executive Committee of the CDU North Rhine-Westphalia from 1997-1999. She also was a Councillor in Höxter 1994-1998.

She became a Member of the German Bundestag in 1998 and has been the Chairman of the Federation of Catholic Entrepreneurs (BKU) since 2001. Additionally, she has been the deputy chairman of the CDU in Oberhausen since 2009. Dött has many Functions in the German Bundestag: She is the Chairman of the Working Group on Environmental, Conservation, construction and reactor safety, environmental policy spokeswoman of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group, deputy chairman of the parliamentary circle middle class (PKM), the deputy chairman of the German-Baltic Parliamentary Friendship Group, a member of the German-British Parliamentary Group, a member of the Working local politics committee and a member of the Stephen Group of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group.

Education[edit]

After the completion of her Abitur, Dött undertook an apprenticeship in Retail.
