Political Career[edit]

Martinez was born in Melilla and she is a member of the People’s Party in the Ninth Legislature of the Spanish Senate.

Education Career[edit]

She joined the Popular Party of Melilla in early 2000, being appointed Regional Secretary of the People's Party of Melilla, after the Ninth Regional Congress of the Party. Before becoming a Senator, she was also a member of the Assembly of Melilla. After the elections to Parliament in 2011, having won the seat of Senator for the constituency of the Autonomous City of Melilla, Martinez was appointed Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Equality.


Notable Work[edit]

She graduated in Law from the University of Granada. She has the title of University Expert on Equal Opportunities from UNED Spain. She has the title of University Expert on Gender Violence and Domestic Abuse from UNED Spain. She completed a Master’s degree in Gender and Family Abuse.
