Lord Wolfson of Aspley Guise is a Conservative member of the House of Lords. He joined the House of Lords in June 2010.

Political Career[edit]

Lord Wolfson donated significantly to David Cameron’s 2005 leadership election campaign. He co-chaired the Conservative Party’s Economic Competitiveness policy review. He was also one of the signatories of an open letter calling for the Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne to carry out plans to reduce the public finance deficit.

Education[edit]

Lord Wolfson was educated at Radley College and went on to study Law at Trinity College, Oxford University.

Notable Work[edit]

Wolfson joined Next plc in 1991. In August 2001 he was appointed as the company’s CEO. He is also the founder of the £250,000 Wolfson Economics Prize.
