Jordi Jané i Guasch
Jordi Jané i Guasch, 26 November 1963 in L’Arboç, Tarragona, is a member of the Spanish Chamber of Deputies representing the Spanish province of Tarragona. Jané i Guasch is a member of Convergència i Unió (CiU), political party which in the Chamber of Deputies is part of the Parliamentary Group for Catalan Minority, Grupo Parlamentario Catalán de la Minoría Catalana (GC).
Political Career[edit]
Jordi Jané i Guasch has been an MP for CiU during the VI, VII, VIII, IX, X legislatures. During the legislatures III, IV, V and VI he was the Secretary General and Legal Advisor to the Parliamentary Group for Catalan Minority. Later on, during the VII and VIII legisltaures Jané i Guasch was a deputy speaker of the CiU within the Catalan Parliamentary Group. He was unanimously elected Chairman of the Road Safety Commission of the Congress of Deputies in the Legislature VIII. Jordi Jané I Guasch was appointed CiU spokesperson in the Commission of Inquiry on 11 March and Gescartera. He was a founder of the Juventut Nacionalista de Catalunya (JNC) in 1980 and the NationalDirector of Gonvergència Democràtica de Catalunya. Finally, he was a member of the Monitoring Committee of the Convenant against Turncoat. Nowadays in the Chamber of Deputies he is the Fourth Vice-President of the Congress of Deputies, the Fourth Vice-President of the Congress Bureau and the fourth Vice-Chairman of the Committee of Racing Rules. Moreover, he is a spokesman of the Commission of Justice and of the Commission on Road Safety and Sustainable Mobility. He is also an alternate member of the Permanent Delegation, a deputy spokesperson of the Constitutional Commission, an assigned member of the Committee on Internal Issues, of the Development Commission and of the Committee on Industry, Energy and Tourism, a member of the Subcommittee and Analysis Study of the Spanish Rail System, and a speaker of the Presentation of the Draft Law on Free Legal Aid. Finally, he is a rapporteur of the Communication in charge of relations with the Nuclear Safety Council.

Jordi Jané i Guasch is a lawyer and a professor of Constitutional Law at the University Pompeu Fabre and the Rovira i Virgili University of Tarragona. He also holds a Masters in Comparative Law. Additionally, he has performed in IESE's Leadership Program for Public Management.
