Jens Bullerjahn

Jens Bullerjahn was born on the 15th of July 1962 in Halle an der Saale. He has been a member of the German Federal Council for the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) since 2006. He is also the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance of the state of Saxony-Anhalt.

Political career[edit]

Before his political career, he worked as an engineer. Between 1990 and 1993 he worked for the council of Ahlsdorf. From 1990 to 1998 he was a member of the district council of Eisleben / Mansfeld and since 2005, he has been a member of the SPD National Executive Committee. Besides, between 2006 and 2007, he was the Deputy National Chairman of the SPD.

Education[edit]

Between 1979 and 1981 Bullerjahn did Vocational training as an electrician. Subsequently, from 1984 to 1987, he studied at the University of Applied Sciences in Magdeburg where he graduated as an electrical engineer.

Notable work[edit]

Substitute Member of the Mediation Committee of the German Bundestag and the Federal Council.
