Igor Antauer

Igor Antauer (born September 5, 1954) is a member of the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia.

Political career[edit]

Antauer was elected a National Councilor in 2012.

Professional Career[edit]

Antauer began his career in public administration, continued his career in the utility services in Ljubljana and later became the owner and manager of a small consulting firm specializing in advising small and medium-sized enterprises. During that time, he was also the manager of compulsory settlement and bankruptcy, a senator of major companies and international expert for the European Commission, the European Agency for the Restructuring, the World Bank, OSCE and OHR-Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition, he contributed to active employment policy, promotion of self-employment and small business development.

He has over 20-years experience in lecturing for various educational processes. Currently, he holds the position of Secretary General at the Trade Union of Crafts and Entrepreneurship of Slovenia.

He is also a member of the Board of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, a member of the advisory body of the European Commission for Safety and Health at Work, deputy member of Eurofound, etc.

Education[edit]

Antauer graduated in law at the University of Ljubljana in 1979, then he passed the professional exam at the State Secretariat for Justice, Administration and Budget. In 1998, he started his postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana. He continued with professional education in the USA, UK and Italy. He obtained a certificate of promotion services to small businesses and completed training in the procedures of ownership transformation.
