Gaspar Carlos ZarrÃas Arévalo
Gaspar Carlos Zarrías Arévalo, born 30 April 1955 in Madrid, is a member of the Spanish Chamber of Deputies representing the Spanish province of Jaén, Andalucía. Zarrías Arévalo is a member of the Spanish Socialist Worker’s Party, Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSOE) and he is a member of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, Grupo Socialista (GS) within the Chamber of Deputies.
Political Career[edit]
Zarrías Arévalo has been an MP for the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE) from Jaén, Andalucía for one term, since 2011. Previously, he was the Secretary of State for Regional Cooperation in Andalucía. Until March 2012, Zarrías Arévalo was a member of the Committee on Budgets, the Committee on Agriculture, Food and Environment and a speaker within the Committee on International Development and Cooperation. Nowadays, in the Chamber of the Deputies, he is an alternate member of the Permanent Delegation, he is associated with the Committee on Finance and Public Administration, the Second Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture, Food and Environment and a member of the Joing Comitee on Relations with the Ombudsman.
