Franc Laj

Franc Laj (born July 18, 1962) is a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia and a member of the Party of Miro Cerar (Slovenian: Stranka Mira Cerarja - SMC).

Political Career[edit]

He was elected to the Slovenian National Assembly in 2014.

Professional Career[edit]

Laj started at Varstroj Lendava as an organizer of business processes in 1986, in the following years he was promoted to the position of business analyst, the Head of Planning and Analysis Department and later to the Head of the Economic Section. In 1994 he became a Business and Financial Consultant at the Developer Hub Budapest. Later on he was the Director of LAINT d.o.o. as well as a business consultant and the director of Kervola Kft. In Hungary. In 2001, Laj took over the position of the Director of Administration of the Municipality of Lendava and in 2003 the Head of Investments in the same municipality. In 2004, he started working as a business consultant specialist within voucher consulting (MG). Later, he was the Director of the Gradbeništvo Lendava d.o.o. and in 2010, he began working in the field of commercial consulting.

Education[edit]

In 1987, Franc Laj graduated at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Maribor.
