Dilek Kolat

Dilek Kolat was born on the 7th of February 1967 in Kelkit (Turkey). She has been a member of the German Federal Council for the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) since 2011. Besides, she is a senator for Labour, Integration and Women Berlin.

Political career[edit]

Before her political career, she worked for Deutsche Bank. She has been a member of the SPD since 1995. Moreover, between 1995 and 1999 she was a member of the Schöneberg district council in Berlin. Since 2001 she has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives. As of 2004, she is a county chairman of the SPD in Tempelhof-Schöneberg.

Education[edit]

Kolat graduated from German secondary school in 1986 with the Abitur (A-Level). Subsequently, she studied at the Technical University of Berlin with a degree in business mathematics.
