Danijel Krivec

Danijel Krivec (born May16, 1965) is a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia and a member of the Slovenian Democratic Party (Slovenian: Slovenska demokratska stranka, also known by the acronym SDS).

Political Career[edit]

He was elected to the National Assembly in 2004 and 2008, on preliminary elections in 2011 and recently in July 2014.

He has performed the function of the Mayor of the Municipality of Bovec since 2002 when he was elected for the first time, he was re-elected in 2006 and 2010. Furthermore, he has been a member of the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Bovec and numerous committees since the establishment of new municipalities.

He was an active participant of the Slovenian Independence War.

Professional Career[edit]

Most know him as Commander of the Civil Protection in the Municipality of Bovec. For a successful and orderly conduct of civil protection in crisis he obtained the highest state decoration, the Order of Freedom of the Republic of Slovenia. Apart from that he was employed at Elektro Primorska for many years.

Education[edit]

Krivec graduated at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana.
