Anne Gibson, Baroness Gibson of Market Rasen OBE (born 10 December 1940) is a British trade unionist and Member of the House of Lords

Political Career[edit]

Baroness Gibson of Market Rasen joined the House of Lords on the 9th of May 2000. Throughout her time in the House of Lords she has been a member of a number of committees namely: Draft Voting Eligibility (Prisoners) Bill 2013-13, Draft Enhanced Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Measures Bill (Joint Committee 2012-12, Draft Constitutional Renewal Bill (Joint Committee) 2008-08, Information Committee (L) 2007-11, BBC Charter Review Committee 2005-09, Constitutional Reform Bill 2004-04, House of Lords Reform (Joint Committee) 2002-05, EU Sub-Committee F - Home Affairs 2001-05.

Education[edit]

Baroness Gibson of Market Rasen was educated at Market Rasen Junior School and Caistor Grammar School in Lincolnshire. She was further educated at the Chelmsford College of Further Education and the University of Essex, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in government in 1976.
