Zakia Khattabi, born on January 15, 1976 in Saint-Josse, is a Belgian ECOLO politician.
Political Career
She is an MP of the Brussels Region and the French Community and a member of the Senate, where she is head of the Ecolo party. In addition, she is a municipal councillor in Ixelles (Brussels).
Education
Zakia has trained as a social worker and completed a degree in Social Work at the Free University of Brussels (ULB). At college, she was fascinated by the theories of social construction of reality. This has been crucial later in her career.
