Tebelelo Mazile Seretse was having served as a Member of Parliament and Cabinet under the former President of Botswana, Festus G. Mogae from 1999 until 2004. During that period, she held ministerial positions as Assistant Minister of Presidential Affairs; Minister of Trade, Industry, Wildlife and Tourism, and Minister of Works, Transport and Communications. Outside the public service, Ambassador Tebelelo Mazile Seretse has also contributed significantly to the private sector in Botswana. She has been a Board member of the Bank of Botswana, the Botswana Diamond Mining company – Debswana, Botswana Insurance Holding Company and Excess Petroleum.
