Fred Strodtbeck and Florence Kluckhohn were two cultural anthropologists most well known for their “Culture Value Orientations” theory (1961). The theory attests that there are a limited number of problems present in all societies and a limited number of solutions to those problems, but there exist different preferences for solutions in different societies. The theory is therefore a model for cultural comparison.
