Stefan Buontempo in addition to his ministry serves as the parliamentary secretary for local government. He belongs to the Party of European Socialists (PES). He was elected in the Parliament for the first time in 2003. Then, he was reelected in 2008. Since 2013 he works as Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth and Sport.
