de Beauvoir, Simone (1908 - 1986)

One of the founders of the French school of Existentialist philosophy along with Albert Camus and Jean- Paul Sartre and Feminist, famous for her book, The Second Sex, a basic text of Feminism. She also wrote novels, essays, and an autobiography.
