Simone Beissel, member of the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies

Simone Beissel is a Deputy of the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies, where she represents the Democratic Party (Demokretisch Partei) in the Centre constituency.

Simone Breissel was born in Luxembourg on 27th April 1953.

Political Career

She has been a member of the Democratic Party since 1986. From 2004 until 2013 she was Vice-President of the Democratic Party. From 2000 until 2004 she was Vice-President of the Commission on Media and Communications and Vice-President of the Legal Commission. Since 2013 she has been Vice-President of the Board, Vice-President of the Commission on Internal Affairs, President of the Commission on Higher Education, Research, Media and Communication, member of the Regulation Commission, member of the Commission on Economy, member of the legal Commission, Effective Member of the Luxembourg Delegation to the Parlamentarian Assembly for the Mediterranean Union (APUPM), member of the Commission "All the Parlamentarian Commissions" and member of the Luxembourg Delegation to the Interparlamentarian Union (UIP). She has been Vice-President of the Commission on Institutions and Constitutional Revision since February 2014.

Education

Simone Breissel attended University of Aix-Marseille in France, where she took her Master's Degree in Private Law in 1976. In 1978 she obtained a Diploma in International Relations at the Institute for Political Studies in Paris.
