Sotiris Sampson was born in Famagusta in 1965.He is a Greek/Cypriot politician and lawyer.

Political Career

Sotiris Sampson is a representative of Famagusta constituency under the banner of DISY since 2001. He was President of the High School Students Movement (MAKI) and founding member of the DISY Youth Organisation (NEDISY) in 1976,Member of the DISY Famagusta District Council,Member of the Council of Europe Committee on Legal Issues concerning Anti-Doping since 1996 and of the Sports Ethics Committee of the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA) since 1993, and DISY Commissioner for Refugees, Enclaved, Missing and Adversely Affected Persons since 2006. He serves as Vice-president of DISY since May 2013.

Education

Sotiris Sampson got a BA in Political Science/Philosophy (Honors), (minor) History (Magna cum Laude) (George Washington University, Washington DC, United States of America) and he graduated as a Juris Doctor (George Mason University School of Law, Virginia, United States of America).He speaks English and French.
