On this date, in front of the Brandenburg Gate, U.S. President Ronald Reagan delivers a historical speech contributing to the Cold War's final years. In his remarks, Reagan calls for Mr. Gorbachev to "Come to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" The speech would be considered a significant point of the final years of the Cold War.
