Milan Brglez (born September 1, 1967) is the President of Slovenian National Assembly and Vice President of the SMC (The Party of Miro Cerar; Slovene: Stranka Mira Cerarja).

Poltical career[edit]

Brglez entered national politics when he joined the Party of Miro Cerar (SMC) in 2014. He was elected vice president of the party. At the parliamentary election in July 2014, Brglez was elected to the National Assembly. On 1 August, he was elected the President of the National Assembly.

Professional experience[edit]

He was a the chairman of the International Relations Department at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana.

Education[edit]

Brglez graduated in politology, completed his Masters in law and obtained his PhD in international relations.
