María Teresa de Lara Carbó was born in Girona on December 13, 1944. She is currently a member of the Spanish Congress within People’s Party of Spain (PP).

Political Career[edit]

Carbó was a deputy in the Madrid Assembly and Speaker of the Environment from 1987-1995. Later, she became a Senator in the Legislature and Speaker of the Environmental Committee from 1993-1996. In 2004, she was elected to the Spanish Congress and in that legislature she became the spokeswoman for the Environment Committee and a member of the Committee on Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. She was also a member of the Committee on Culture.


Education[edit]

Carbó recieved a diploma in Statistical Science.
