Mario Habek was born on 16 May 1972 in Varaždin, Croatia. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Croatia (SDP; Croatian: Socijaldemokratska partija Hrvatske) and has been a member of the Croatian Parliament (Hrvatski sabor) during its sixth and seventh term.

Political Career[edit]

Habek's second mandate in the Croatian Parliament began on 22 December 2011. He is a member of the Tourism Committee, a member of the Elections, Appointments and Administration Committee, and a member of the Petitions and Appeals Committee. Previously, he was a member of the Interparliamentary Co-operation Committee.

Education[edit]

Habek graduated from Business School for Tourism and Hotel Management in Zagreb, having majored in Economics.
