Short introduction[edit]

Marin Anton, born on 8th May 1960 in Gradinari (Giurgiu) is a Romanian politician. He´s married and has two children. Since March 2014, he has been an independent politician.


Political Career[edit]

From 2000 to 2004 he was a member of the Romanian Parliament under the leadership of the President Traian Basescu. He was the member of the PNL party and played a fundamental role in the county of Ilfov. He became also the vice-president of this same party in the Ilfov county, and in 2010 he became the President of the PDL instead of Bogdan Cantaragiu. He also served as Secretary of State under the minister Radu Berceanu. After his resignation he became Secretary of State at the Ministry of Environment and Forest.
