Marijke Linthorst

Maria Ynskje (Marijke) Linthorst (born on February 16th, 1952) in Amsterdam is a Dutch politician. Since 2003 she has been a member of the Dutch Senate for the Labour Party (PvdA). Previously she had been a member from 1995 to 1999.

Political Career[edit]

Marijke Linthorst was a member of the Abcoude council from April 12th, 1994 until 2000. She was a member of the Dutch Senate from June 13th, 1995 until June 8th, 1999. Since March 2003, Linthorst has been the external advisor of the Amsterdam municipality (advising on better cooperation between city and districts in the implementation of the Administrative Agreement).

From July 9th, 2013 until now she has been the Senior Vice-President of the Dutch Senate. And since June 10th, 2003, Marijke Linthorst has been a member of the Dutch Senate for the PvdA.

Education[edit]

Linthorst studied political science at the University of Amsterdam from 1970 until 1978.
