María de la Encina Regalado de los Cobos

María de la Encina Regalado de los Cobos, born in Vitoria (Basque Country) on the 27th March 1957, is a Spanish senator elected for the constituency of Álava (Basque Country) for the 10th term. She is a member of the People’s Party (PP).

Political Career

María de la Encina Regalado de los Cobos was elected as senator for the first time in the current term. During this term, she is the acting first secretary of the Commission for the Study of Problems Relating to Drugs, also she is member of others commissions such as the Defence Commission or the Climate Change and Environment Commission. Before becoming a senator she was also procurator of the General Council of Álava during three terms from 1999 to 2011. María de la Encina was also a regional deputy in the Basque Parliament between 2005 and 2009.

Education

María de la Encina Regalado de los Cobos is specialized in pathological anatomy.
