María José Martín Gómez is a Spanish politician and member of the People’s Party (PP). She was born in Granada on August 7th, 1975. She is currently serving as a Senator at the Senate of Spain after being elected by Granada in the last 2011 general election.

Political Career[edit]

Before being elected as a Senator, María José Martín Gómez’s political career was mainly focused on local politics. From 2003 to 2007, she served as a councillor at the city council of Baza (Granada). She was re-elected for that position in 2007 and in 2011. She has also performed other roles such as regional executive vice-president of PP in Granada (2011-2012) and President of PP in Baza. She has been affiliated to the PP since 1999.

Education[edit]

María José Martín Gómez graduated in Business Administration. She is a high school professor, specialising in Business Administration.
