Mónica Ferro

Mónica Sofia do Amaral Pinto Ferro was born on November 7th, 1972. She is an University Professor currently she serves as a Deputy at the Portuguese National Assembly.

Political Career

She was elected by the electoral circle of Lisboa through the Social Democratic Party to serve as a deputy on the XII Legislature (2011-2015). Presently, she takes part on several Parliamentary Commissions from which he is an effective member in the National Defense, Ethics, Citizenship and Communication Commissions. She is an alternate to the Commissions of Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Liberties and Guarantees and International Affairs and Portuguese Communities. In addition, she is Member of the European Parliamentary Forum on Population and Development´s Executive Council.

Education

Mónica Ferro holds a Master in International Relations and is pursuing a PhD in International Relations as well.
