Lord Grabiner
Grabiner was born on the 21st March 1945. He is a British barrister and is a member of the House of Lords representing the Labour Party.
Political Career[edit]
On 26th July, 1999 he was made a life peer in the House of Lords receiving the title Baron Grabiner, of Aldwych in the City of Westminster. Grabiner’s policy interests include ‘business, industry and consumers’, ‘crime, civil law, justice and rights’, ‘culture, media and sport’, economy and finance, education and ‘social security and pensions’. From 2002-2003 he served on the Committee on Religious Offences. From 2011, he served on the Privacy and Injunctions Joint Committee.
Education[edit]
He was educated at the Central Foundation Boys Schools. He then went on to study at the London School of Economics, where he graduated with a first class honours in Law. He then gained a Master of Laws with distinction a year later.
Notable Work[edit]
From 1998-2007 he was chairman of the London School of Economics. He currently serves as the Master of Claire College Cambridge.
