Klavdija Markež

Klavdija Markež (born January 7, 1976) is a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia and a member of the Party of Miro Cerar (Slovenian: Stranka Mira Cerarja - SMC).

Political Career

She was elected to the National Assembly in 2014.

Professional Career

In the years 1994-1999, Klavdija Markež worked as a counselor at the People's University of Ptuj (Slovenian:Ljudska univerza Kranj) and from 1999 till 2004 she organized educational programs there. Later in 2004 she took over the function of the Director of the same institution. In the years 2008-2012 she performed the function of the President of the Association of Slovenian Adult Education Centres (Zveza ljudskih univerz Slovenije).

Education

In 1999, she graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana and in 2005 she obtained MA in Government and European science at the Graduate School of Government and European Studies. She also has education in the pedagogy and andragogy which she gained at the he Faculty of Education in Maribor.
