She is a lawyer specialized in family law and civil cases and she is an examiner at the University of Malta.

History

She was elected as a member of the Parliament from the 13th district in 2003. She was designated as PL spokesperson for the Youth, Culture and Sports.   She was appointed as a member of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship between Malta and Tunisia, a member of the Maltese delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, also appointed as chairperson of the PAM task force on gender equality .

She was elected again to Parliament in 2008 and was appointed as Speakers for Family and Gender and appointed as a member of the Parliamentary Committee for Social Affairs .

Currently, she is also the third committee rapporteur on human rights in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean .
