José Antonio Rubio Mielgo

José Antonio Rubio Mielgo, born in Palencia on the 13th April 1957, is a Spanish senator elected for the constituency of Palencia in the 10th term. He is a member of the People’s Party (PP).

Political Career

José Antonio Rubio Mielgo was elected as senator for the first time in the 9th term. During the current term, he is acting as first vice-president of the International Cooperation for Development Commission and as a member of the Health and Social Services Commission and lastly the Development Commission. Before becoming a senator, José Antonio Rubio Mielgo had been councillor in the city council of Palencia for three terms.

Education

José Antonio Rubio Mielgo holds a degree in Medicine and is specialised in hospitals’ direction, sanitary management and public health. He holds a MA in public Health and sanitary management.
