Jernej Vrtovec

Jernej Vrtovec was born on 24 May 1985 in Postojna, Slovenia. He is a member of the New Slovenia – Christian People's Party (Slovene: Nova Slovenija – Kršcanska ljudska stranka, NSi) and a member of the National Assembly (Državni zbor Republike Slovenije).

Political Career[edit]

Vrtovec founded the NSi's Municipal Council in Komen while he was still in high school. In 2005 he was elected Secretary General of the Young Slovenia - Youth of the NSi, and in 2009 he became its chairman. Currently, Vrtovec is the PR Manager of the Nsi. He has been a member of the National Assembly since 2014. He is a member of the Commission for the Public Finance Control, a member of the Committee for Infrastructure, Environment and Spatial Planning, a member of the Committee on Internal Affairs, Public Administration and Local Self-Government, and the deputy chairperson of the Health Committee.

Education[edit]

Vrtovec graduated from the Faculty of Theology in Ljubljana.
