Jeffrey Archer

Jeffrey Howard Archer, Baron Archer of Weston-super-Mare (born 15th April 1940) is a former politician and author of many books. Before becoming an author, Archer was a Member of Parliament.

Political Career

From 1969 to 1974 he was the Conservative Member of Parliament for the Lincolnshire constituency of Louth. From 1985 to 1986 he was deputy chairman of the Conservative Party. In 1992 he was made a life peer.
