Jean Etienne was born on 26th February 1966 and is a teacher by profession. He has been President of the Administrative Council for Guiana, mayor of Kourou and regional councillor of Guiana.

Political Career

Jean Étienne Antoinette is a member of the Senate of France, electedin 2008 for the constituency of French Guiana, representing the Socialist Group of the Senate. He is a member of the senatorial delegation of territorial collectivities and decentralization, member of the senatorial delegation overseas, member of the study board on forests, waste management, sport, and municipal Councillor of Kourou
