Founded in 1972, the Japan Foundation focuses on cultural exchange in Japan and aims to promote Japanese culture around the world. The foundation is involved in three areas: arts and cultural exchange, Japanese-language exchange, and Japanese studies and intellectual exchange[1]. The Japan Foundation works in over 20 countries, with its headquarters in Tokyo.
