Janja Sluga was born on 15 May 1974. She is a member of the Miro Cerar Party (SMC; Slovene: Stranka Mira Cerarja) and a member of the National Assembly (Državni zbor Republike Slovenije).

Professional and Political Career[edit]

Sluga was a secretary at the Celje Institute for Cultural Events from 2004 to 2007. Since 2008 she has been the Head of Administration of the Slovenian People's Theatre Celje. Also, Sluga has been a member of the National Assembly since 2014. She is a member of the Commission on Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, a member of the Committee on Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Disability, a member of the Cultural Committee, a member of the Committee on Internal Affairs, Public Administration and Local Self-government, and a member of the National Assembly's standing delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

Sluga graduated from the Faculty of Public Administration of the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia
