Jacqueline Alquier is a member of the Senate of France, elected on 26th of September 2004 for the constituency of Tarn. She is a member of the Senate Socialist Groupe ("Groupe Socialiste du Sénat").

Biography

She was born on 1947 in Vabre, in the department of Tarn. There she worked as secretary accountant till 1976, when she decided to become a member of the Socialist Party. She was active in the politics in her town and her region, as regional councillor, municipal councillor and mayor. Ms. Alquier became member of the French Parliament in 1985 and was reelected for the period 1988-1993.
