She made her move into politics by becoming a member of the Freie Demokratische Partei (FDP) in the 1980s. From 1996 to 2005 she was chairman of the FDP District Association Siegen-Wittgenstein and also a member of the District Board Westphalia-West. From 1999 to 2003 Helga Daub belonged to the district council of the district of Siegen-Wittgenstein and was there until October 2002 Chairwoman of the FDP faction. From 2002 to 2005 she was member of the German Bundestag. Focus their political activity was the defense policy here.

In 2009, she reached in her constituency 10.0% of the primary vote. Helga Daub was born 12. June 1942 in Wuppertal, Germany. She is a German politician and a member of The Free Democratic Party (FDP).

She made her move into politics by becoming a member of the Freie Demokratische Partei (FDP) in the 1980s. Since her first political postings she gone gained increasing prominence; between 2002 – 2005 she was a Member of the German Bundestag, Member of the Defence Committee, Substitute member of the Tourism Committee and Deputy Member of the Cultural Committee. Since 2006, she has held the position of Regional Executive of the FDP in North Rhine-Westphalia, and Vice-Chairman of the Liberal NRW. Since 2008 she has been the FDP parliamentary candidate in the district of Siegen-Wittgenstein.

Education[edit]

Helga Daub attended to hotel school in Dortmund , which she finished in 1962 as a hotel clerk.
