After nearly 13 months of protests, civil unrest, diplomatic negotiations, and the fall of the Berlin Wall, Germany is officially reunited after being separated for just over forty years. The day marks the culmination of decades of heartbreak, sadness, divide, and the great efforts of the people who helped put an end to communism.
